Storytelling that moves your body, mind and soul

The Julie Lamb Outfit is a 5/8 piece bringing you soul-infused kick-arse funky pop. From storytelling to lose yourself groove, this outfit has all your bits covered!

Bringing you a wealth of talented musicians, whether to an intimate gig or a big festival stage, The Julie Lamb Outfit tells you original award winning stories, that get your feet tapping on the way.

Soul infused funky pop - with Julie's usual blues treatment (She can't help herself!) adding horns and harmonies, pumping originals from charting albums get you on your feet.

Mixing classic hits with their own funky work gives the audience the comfort of familiarity - fans can’t help but dance the night away - perfect for a festival vibe.

With four albums under the belt Julie consistently attracts new fans with her dynamic music and exciting live performances. A powerhouse of talent, the music shows off all of the band members.

    Bucket list ticks:

    • Charting on the official NZ Album Charts (with the two latest albums)

    • Award wins from the Pacific Songwriting Competition and Beat100 A&R,

    • Being recognised all over the world by groups such as Jack and Jill No. 20 and Acid Tapes in Australia, 1st Renaissance in the UK and Indie Music Bus Favourites in the USA.

    • Playing Wellington Waterfront to 10,000 people on New Years' Eve

The latest album 'Ordinary Days' (2017) is the greatest offering yet with amazing reviews. It contains smooth and exciting funk, which along with a guest acapella number, offers the listener an appealing ride with quirky surprises.

Julie herself is an active advocate of the local music community. She runs music events and choirs as well as volunteering for the Capital Blues Club, Aro Creative and The Wellington Jazz Orchestra, you can also find her at ground level, nurturing up and coming musicians and being a staunch supporter of the Wellington live music scene.

The absolute love and joy Julie holds for music and people draws everyone in - no matter what their age, background or taste.  The diverse sound and feel-good vibe that comes from everything they do brings people back to their music - album after album - year after year.

“It’s great to hear some funky pop-rock with good old fashioned backing vocals and horn parts too. A class act made all the better by the joi-de-vivre it encapsulates and projects" - Bing Turkby NZ Music Magazine
